UPDATE 24/10/23: A new update for Lords of the Fallen has been released on console for parity with PC.
That means PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players now have the altered New Game Plus mode and enemy density, as well as performance and stability improvements.
As previously reported, this update also brings crossplay between console players, with PC players included in this on Thursday.

ORIGINAL STORY 23/10/2023: A new update has been launched for Lords of the Fallen that alters its New Game Plus mode, as well as enemy density and performance.
The patch notes, available on Steam, detail the post-game changes which will now no longer remove all vestiges (checkpoints). Instead, each iteration of New Game Plus will remove more vestiges until NG+3 when all will be removed for the biggest challenge.
